Kings Article: Players Lament Lack Of Consistency, But Darryl Sutter Is Looking At His Best Players

Until these guys come out better prepared to start games, this problem is going to continue. This was a problem last year and it's continuing this year. Slow starts are just killing them. That and their terrible pp's. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to analyze the Kings.

They might have to make some trades to shake things up. Maybe move some unrestricted free agents to other teams. If their going to do something. do it before the trade deadline so they can build some chemistry. The team lacks intensity, and passion at times. I like to see them bring in a enforcer for the regular season.

Interesting piece. Bang on.

I think we all get frustrated with how the top players slack at times, but how many of us procrastinate and don't do our best 100% of the time? I would guess just about everyone. Still, they could at least give it somewhat close to maximum effort rather than the 70% we see a lot of the time.

You're absolutely right that most of us procrastinate to some degree and don't always give 100%. Still, it's tough to feel sympathy because most of us aren't getting paid 7 figures to do our job. When you're getting paid millions, you're expected to perform like you're getting paid millions. So slacking off at all isn't nearly as tolerable.
