Just curious about which players out there are still known as being definitely on the market.

In Montreal, the one name that pops up is Petry, who has asked for a trade and it's openly discussed. Other names may pop up, but Petry is the one remaining guy we know wants out. Weber's contract is also clearly being discussed.

Who out there on other teams is clearly available ? I'll copy back to this post all the answers that have a couple of "likes" confirming someone is on the market.

I'd like to see if we can figure out some deals that could occur by the time the draft comes around.

Other players:
  • Montreal : Joel Armia, Jeff Petry, Shea Weber's contract
  • Boston: Jake Debrusk
  • Ottawa: Colin White
  • Toronto: Kerfoot, Holl, Simmonds and Engvall.
  • Pittsburgh: Zucker, Kapanen. Pettersson
  • NYR: Georgiev
  • NYI: Josh Bailey
  • Philadelphia: JVR (final contract year), Provorov and Konecny
  • Washington: Lars Eller (1 year remaining at 3.5), Ilya Samsonov (RFA)
  • LV: Evgeni Dadonov.
  • Vancouver: Pretty much the entire Canucks organization, other than Pettersson, Hughes, Demko, Hoglander
  • Winnipeg: Mark Scheifele
  • Calgary: Sean Monahan and Milan Lucic
  • Chicago: Toews and Kane
  • Saint-Louis - Marco Scandella
  • Wild: Kevin Fiala (RFA)
  • Arizona: Jakob Chychrun
  • Anaheim: John Gibson, but really, anyone not named Terry, Drysdale, Zegras, McTavish or Zellweger could be had.
  • Sharks: James Reimer, Nick Bonino, and Matt Nieto

Subban but I think he retires after this season. Probably gets into commentating or something. I don’t see any NHL teams offering him a contract after this season and I’m not sure he still wants to even play. He hasn’t even been that bad this year.

Obviously not all will be traded but given the right price any of these players i believe can be had from the Canucks pov. Some of these players the right price is a bag of pucks.

Fiala will be traded in the offseason for the best future based deal the Wild can get.

Flyers will want to get some value out of jvr. Either in the off season or at the deadline possibly with retention

Bump.
Come on guys, wouldn't it be nice to look at a list of players likely to be available to make more realistic proposals ?

I wouldn’t be surprised if Mark S from the Jets is available this summer. After a slow start due to COVID, he’s back to producing at PPG and looking much better since the all star break. He has two more years after this one on a very friendly contract (just over 6 million cap).

I see Subban as a player who wants to play 1000 games. I expect he will exit this season at 839 if he plays out the last 22 games or so. Two full seasons will get him there so I see him looking to sign a two year contract with a contender for at a fair cap to both win and get to 1000 games.
