Has there been a thread/list of players with the most career assists to an individual teammate? I would think that Gretzky to Kurri would be up near the top for example, but is there a top-5 or top-10 list anywhere?
Gretzky has 364 career assists on goals by Jari Kurri.
If Daniel has 310 career goals, I doubt more than 200 are assisted by Henrik. If so, there's no way they'll catch Gretzky-to-Kurri. The Sedins are now 34, and Daniel, for his career, averages about 27 goals per 82 games. Even if Henrik assists on 20 of 27, Daniel would need to play at career-average level until he's 40. I don't think that will happen.daniel sedin has 310 career goals, as of yesterday. i don't know how to look up the numbers that you just cited of gretzky, but if i had to guess i'd ballpark it at 200-250 henrik-to-daniel assists. which means that when all is said and done, they could take a run at gretzky-to-kurri.
Players Assisting on Gretzky goals:i'd be curious to see orr-to-esposito and coffey-to-gretzky.

But yes, if anyone does know their actually numbers, it'd be interesting to know!

That is some incredibly impressive company the Sedins are in.
I was going to bypass the obvious Gretzky-Kurri combo and suggest that Delvecchio and Howe would be pretty high up there only to see that in the list they are already.
As a Leaf fan, I thought Sittler-McDonald would be there somewhere. I realize Lanny left in 1979 but since Paul Henderson's goals assisted by Norm Ullman are on there I thought it would be too. The lowest on that list was 111. I would have thought for sure Sittler-McDonald was on there with at least that many.
Ullman and Henderson are there because they got traded together, and would have had chances to play together for the Wings and Leafs for more than a decade.
What's amazing is that Henrik has assisted on 71% of Daniel's goals. That's almost weird.
Speaking facetiously, but are these 2 EVER going to break the twin-umbilical cord?
I mean, are they going to marry twin sisters and live in a duplex?

Kind of hard to calculate. I guess we can only do actual games they suited up together. Trottier/Bossy are certainly 1977-78 through most of 1986-87 -- Bossy's whole career, so 752 games, minus whatever games Trottier missed. I'm guessing they suited up for about 735 games together? That would work out to one Trottier-to-Bossy goal every 2.4 games.Terrific chart. Thanks, Matnor.
I'm guessing Bossy-from-Trottier has the highest goals-per-game of any pairing?
Wayne and Jari played five more seasons together than did the Islander combo, didn't they.
