1-6 so far and is one Winnipeg loss away from missing every first round matchup this year. (Except for that one)
Truly, truly impressive stuff from the man, the myth, and the legend.
May want to sit down, I have something to tell you...
The Knights won, so he's 1-for-6.
Well fudgeWouldn’t he be 1-6 as he predicted Vegas correctly?
IMO, Messier has improved a lot since his first days at ESPN. I like him now.Subban and Messier are quite possibly the worst studio analyst duo I’ve seen, for any sport, which is why I’m confident ESPN will continue to trot them out for the next decade minimum
Fair enough on Messier individually, but as a combo they are unwatchable. There is zero chemistry, they try to make every segment into some inorganic banter, and like you said Subban started getting absurd, wearing Pejorative Slured outfits and just screaming his takes. Somewhere along the line these networks decided instead of taking the best former player/coach personality and putting the best product they can on TV, they were going to do it all on name recognition alone. The chances that the best broadcaster you can find is also arguably the most recognizable North American hockey player outside of Wayne, are pretty low.IMO, Messier has improved a lot since his first days at ESPN. I like him now.
Subban started out strong with decent analysis but then went Hollywood and is intolerable to listen to.

Hope we get Tocchet back. Ideal intermission:Subban and Messier are quite possibly the worst studio analyst duo I’ve seen, for any sport, which is why I’m confident ESPN will continue to trot them out for the next decade minimum
