PK Subban might be on a generational run with his NHL Playoff predictions

Wouldn’t he be 1-6 as he predicted Vegas correctly?

Subban and Messier are quite possibly the worst studio analyst duo I’ve seen, for any sport, which is why I’m confident ESPN will continue to trot them out for the next decade minimum
IMO, Messier has improved a lot since his first days at ESPN. I like him now.

Subban started out strong with decent analysis but then went Hollywood and is intolerable to listen to.

Fair enough on Messier individually, but as a combo they are unwatchable. There is zero chemistry, they try to make every segment into some inorganic banter, and like you said Subban started getting absurd, wearing Pejorative Slured outfits and just screaming his takes. Somewhere along the line these networks decided instead of taking the best former player/coach personality and putting the best product they can on TV, they were going to do it all on name recognition alone. The chances that the best broadcaster you can find is also arguably the most recognizable North American hockey player outside of Wayne, are pretty low.

To be fair, his bracket in the West isn’t that bad. Like I could definitely see Vegas vs Colorado in the conference finals, but his eastern conference predictions? Atrocious, even at the time he made them. He picked the upset in every matchup; an untested Ottawa, a New Jersey team with half their roster injured and the other half walking wounded and a Montreal team with a sub real .500 record that is back in the playoff for the first time in years? Yeah, OK, PK…

The Western Conference picks weren't bad.

Everyone had LA over EDM, he got VKG over MIN right, COL was close to beating DAL and I'm sure many went with WPG over STL (and it might happen).

Many had TB beating FLA. But he was a total homer in picking NJ and MTL, and maybe I'm biased, but the Ottawa pick seems pretty dumb as well considering the Senators lack of playoff experience.

What, you guys don't like intermission shows when he uses slow motion and freeze-frame to critique the outfits and fashion of the players walking off the team bus?

Hope we get Tocchet back. Ideal intermission:
Host - Buccigross
Panelists: Weekes, Tocchet, Moore/Boucher

Not one team already in the east. Just weird picks generally. Probably who he knows biased type of shit.

Have to keep that in mind when you appeal to the votes and opinions of players and former players. They are so biased they objectively look dumb.
