I have no idea, I personally don't think they need another forward and don't know much about Suter beyond stat looking.

He's a swiss army knife player, more than just a 4th line player
Stars getting a good one if this is for real. Can play any forward position anywhere in your lineup.
He’s not a 4th line plug.
First pair PKer this season on a top 10 PK who can literally play anywhere in your lineup (top line wing, third line C, etc.) and not hurt you. Very smart player who can put up points too. Not overly physical but doesn’t shy away. Scored clutch goals for the Canucks in the playoffs.

Maybe for most teams, but on Dallas, he's playing 4th line, no question.

He's definitely a good 3rd liner, but the stars are one of the deepest teams in the league, so he'd be a 4th liner for them.

He’s a real solid depth guy who can play anywhere. Hate to see him go but hopefully it means the Canucks realize they have to be sellers

He's 3rd line caliber, but yeah on a deep team like the stars would be a 4th liner. It's like iafallo, third line caliber player, but the Jets are too deep for him to play above 4th line.

4th line or not, if you guys are going from Steel to Suter, a cup final visit is all but guaranteed.

I expect the return to surprise some people. He’s a guy who I think would be attractive to almost any buyer and his cap hit is low.

Eh, assets would be better used toward defense. Unless Dumba is going back, one can hope.
And nothing against Suter, he's just a luxury for a team like Dallas, who only really needs to be looking at help on the back end.

Dallas only has one pick in the first three rounds of this years draft and its a third rounder , so maybe Canucks take next years picks and or players?
