They can only review a 4 minute penalty not a 2 minute penalty, so if they're unsure at all, they call the minute version and then review it to determine if it's no penalty, 2 minutes, or 4 minutes. I've seen several times that they reduce the 4 minutes to 2.

They could have also said “no one saw shit, forget it Sid.” But they went through frame for frame to try and accommodate his lobbying. Shameful display by Crosby. Should give him 2 minutes for faking it all night.

They showed a bad angle. Stick never touched him.

Same way they never showed the side view of Rielly's crosscheck on Greig. To spin an angle.

The puck was between the face and the stick so not really. If the puck wasn't there, the stick probably does hit his face real good.
