Kakko looks great today, really confident and that goal really helps too. He's gonna get more points today.

he doesn't seem to elevate his backhand much, idk if thats by design or just happenstance. if he cant, the book will be out on that shortly.

He didnt need to elevate the backhand. He has room to slid it behind Murray. When he needs to elevate it he will.

This Penguins team looks terrible. They are neutered without Crosby, Letang and Hornqvist. They are missing a top-5 player in the world, 30 goal scorer, and 50 point defense man.

Rangers should be disgusted if they lose this one.

the linked goal from the Worlds was similar, his first goal iirc from strome was barely lifted over the pad. just something i noticed.

some soft plays by the 4th line there. dont blame andersson for the giveaway though, kind of a suicide pass and nothing he could do with it.

That's alright, the play works and it's not his fault that goalies cant seem to stay with his move and length with his stick. He is 18 and his ability is off the charts, he will continue to grow.

Plus I've seen plenty of players lift the puck to high and miss the net. I'd rather my guy lift the puck just enough to score than roof it and miss the net

No real need to adjust. A lot of the best guys in shootouts do the same move nearly every time and it continues to work.
