We almost always look like road apples vs. the Pens, not getting my hopes up. Maybe they'll be satisfied after last night and lose focus, shrug. We got our two out of three wins so this one would just be a bonus and/or a nice buffer, and certainly hoping for a win, but more hoping no one eats a Malkin elbow.

Anyone else remember Brown/Stoll both hooking Malkin at the same time and both getting a penalty for it?

Got to keep pace... need a win.

I am still unclear about why Luc's getting a statue.

Seriously ?

The All time franchise leader in goals, 2nd in points all time. Drafted by the Kings, played the vast majority of his career as King. Continues to be a pillar of class, and an exceptional, gracious human being(role model) in the community of LA. In our lifetime there probably won't be another player that scores the amount of goals/points Luc/Dionne did. Kopitar/Brown certianly won't, Kopitar may come close if plays at a high level for the Next Nine years.

It's incredible what Luc did in a King's uniform, he had Eight 40G(or more) seasons with the Kings, incredible. Not to mention the guy is in the HHOF.

I think Luc deserves a statue more than Wayne#99, For the Kings anyway.

Luc has the most Goals and Points by a left-winger in NHL history. Second most Assists, behind a guy who played 22 seasons (Bucyk). Most goals in franchise history. Great off the ice as an ambassador, by all accounts a great leader and teammate, and since he stepped into a management role (however limited or not) the team has 2 Stanley Cups.

If that's not statue worthy, what is exactly? Highest scoring left-winger in the HISTORY of the NHL. wow :shakehead

It will be a glorious day indeed when Jordan Nolan's statute is unveiled.

Robitailles accomplishments are impressive, sure. Hall worthy. Number retirement worthy.

Statues should be reserved for players and personalities that transcend that stuff and become icons of the sport itself. So, Jordan in Chicago. Orr in Boston. Gretzky in Edmonton. David in Florence.

Luc in LA? It lacks gravitas and feels like a gimmick.
