He had knee surgery…..
true....what was weird is that he got hurt on Oct. 26th or so but didn't get surgery until Nov. 21st.

If you bake in a week for swelling to go down for a proper consultation and then do surgery he would be at 10 weeks versus 7 weeks and hopefully back by now (estimate was 8-12 weeks). This Thursday is 7 weeks.

Crickets from team, journalists, announcers, etc on his progress which is worrisome.
 
Freddie spent a month rocking back and forth in the dark at his house wondering if he even wanted to play hockey again, then in desperation tore his own MCL in order to give himself more time to decide. That’s why it took a month.
You joke but the first part of this statement is entirely possible from what we have heard. "yips"
