Well they knew Celebrini, Smith, Eklund, etc were some tough cookies so they wanted some protection.

Absolutely, but it won't be, because this team's too arrogant and stupid to commit. So it'll be Petts gone for some garbage but we can't bear to part with Bunting, Rakell or ask Rust to waive. Not that they'd bring back anything of value besides Rust, but their subtraction would help the tank over the next three drafts.
