Well, for all of the whining we've done about the team losing while looking listless, you can't say they didn't try tonight.

On the Deserve-to-win-o-meter, they were 84% likely to win tonight. That's the 14th game the Pens lost this season when favored to win, compared to only 6 games they've won that they deserved to lose.

This was a game between two very, very bad teams. It was actually incredible to witness how our team of misfits kept the Flyers hemmed in their zone for long, long, stretches.

But this Pens lineup obviously lacks offensive skill and finish. Also, I feel like Letang never makes a great play with the puck on his stick in situations when we're pushing for offense. He makes fewer boneheaded decisions in those situations than in the past, but it's a lot of double clutching (nothing new for him) and safe passes that don't lead to offense.

Good.

Pens leapfrog the Flyers in draft order to seventh.

If the pens do finish to pick 7th overall; I'd be happy with Desnoyers, O' Brien or if McQueen would drop when the penguins pick.

Blom kinda lost the game for them. Oh well, probably for the best
POJ didn't help on the second goal, but I'd give him another shot.

Penguins should have realistically won Anaheim, Sam Jose, Seattle, and for sure Philly. They'd be firmly in a playoff spot if they did. Losing them all in regulation was way more improbable than winning them all.

Tomasino also had less ice time than Acciari…and we were icing a terrible lineup who couldn’t score in a brothel…the coach is a moron…

Also, someone tell our top 2-3 coach that scoring goals wins games, not having the most offensive zone time…lol

“Obviously, we’re disappointed that we didn’t get the result,” coach Mike Sullivan told reporters who attended Saturday’s game. “But I thought we competed hard all night long, and for long stretches of the game I thought we controlled the game, we controlled territory. We had a significant amount of offensive-zone time.”
