Basically if Lizotte doesn’t get the puck, they won’t touch it for the entire shift. Maybe at the end of the shift one of them gets a flip out of the zone. It’s brutal to watch.

Something has gotten into Sid’s game. It’s been years since I’ve watched him attack defenders 1v1 so often. He’s usually keen to just stop up and skate to an area waiting for trailers. It’s refreshing.

You can only mope and feel sorry for yourself for so long.

The refs probably know that but they also know part of their job is to promote "parity" by literally always biasing calls in favor of the team trailing in the game.

They have an interesting strategy for protecting Tokarski. All five Canes consistently get back in a defensively organized fashion.
