Good claim. Certainly worth a shot. Wouldn't get carried away with expectations, but a decent sized defenceman with that kind of skating and a bit of an NHL resume already at that age, is at least worth a look on a team that has moved out a good chunk of minutes on the back end and may not be done with that.

Even back to his draft year, he's always looked to me like a good bet to be a "solid but unspectacular" depth defenceman at worst. But with the "upside" being pretty capped. Maybe there's a nice complementary #4D in there still, as he's not old and most of the tools are clearly there. I just wouldn't describe him as "dynamic" in any particular fashion.

Good young defender. Playmaking and carrying the puck north is his game. Can be caught out of position while doing so, but I think Pens fans will like him. I don’t think you’ll notice him which in itself is a good thing
