If Pittsburgh goes all in for Brayden, they’ll only be adding 2-3 years to their rebuild, when they finally get around to it.

Look, we all get the Sid thing. He wants to play his entire career for the same team. It’s just rarely in the cards anymore. It was rarely in the cards 15-20 years ago even.

Take a nice vacation after the season and figure out where you want to finish your career. Go have fun the last few years. Whether that’s LA, Toronto, Montreal, Detroit or wherever.
He wants to finish his career in Pittsburgh. Stop with this.

Trotz is the worst gm in the league. Not one thing he has done has made any sense. This team was handed to him to start a rebuild by poile and he has single handedly destroyed the youth of this team and stunted the development of our youth while getting older with players on a decline. Watch he'll hold on to orielly while his value is at its peak to just suck next year taking his value. This teamis in desperate need of a rebuild but our stupid ass management refuses to see it. Any other gm would of fired Burnette at Christmas but here we are. He bought out duchene which is the point leader for dallas our division rival and we're still paying him. Reason was he wanted players that didn't want to retire here. Then goes and signs multiple retirement contracts. Absolutely atrocious

Novak is younger and better than Bunting. That alone was an upgrade.

Schenn is slow but he brings something this team has been missing for years. Plus he still has some value to playoff teams and they could flip him by Friday or wait until next trade deadline.

Well that is interesting opinion, but I would struggle to give a specific spot in the line up. He dont fit a 2C or 3C role.

But good guess. Wish you it gonna turn well

Novak has 24 hits in his career? How is that possible? Gotta be the softest player since Babchuk.

Novak is not better than Bunting

With what Bunting has regressed into? Yeah he is.

Dude is pretty much just a PP specialist at this point. Over half of his production this year (15 of 29 points) was on the powerplay. For as much as he has played with Malkin, having only 14 EV points in 58 games is atrocious.

Luke Schenn is really going to PIT? Why? Are they flipping him to another team?

That's what I'm thinking because otherwise this makes no sense in fact When I logged on here and I saw Pit/N before I clicked on it I assumed it was NJ because Jack Hughes is done for the year.

As it stands Pittsburgh gives up the best player, AND a draft pick

Disagree with that last line.

Bunting is a plug at even strength.

Spoiler alert: it’ll be Pittsburgh

Yeah it should be pointed out how atrocious Bunting has become at 5v5 at this point. His overall stat line for this year was decent, with him playing at essentially a 20 goal, 40 point pace (14 goals and 29 points in 58 games). However, he only had 5 goals and 13 points at 5v5 this year despite playing about 60% of his 5v5 ice time with Crosby or Malkin this year.

He had essentially the same 5v5 statline that O'Connor had for the Penguins, who had 4 goals and 13 points in 53 games for the Penguins. His 5v5 points/60 of 1.07 is less than Glass' 1.17. He was a completely useless player for the Penguins at 5v5 this year, he really devolved into a PP specialist.
