Fiala is 3 years younger than rakell but worse right now and a lot more expensive and signed longer.
Why does Pitt do this?

Because you need to take this away from us.
Fiala is 3 years younger and the slightly better producer career wise. But that extra $2.88 million/year for the next 3 years makes it a resounding no.Fiala is a better player (normally) than Rakell but trading Rakell for a slightly younger but better winger doesn't really seem to have a purpose to me. If Fiala was like 25, I think I'd have a different opinion, but Fiala is turning 29 this off-season.
If they're trading Rakell, I think it should only be for a futures focused package.

Taking advantage of Rakell’s hot season to get an asset who with Rakell’s usage is probably hitting 80-90 pts.
dont listen so some idiot king fans. fiala is not a dump
He isn’t a dump, but he also ain’t worth Brock Faber & Liam Ohgren anymore either.dont listen so some idiot king fans. fiala is not a dump
and who here has said that.... weve had two proposals for fiala, one for a 33 UFA another for a 31 with the same term but produces less than fiala. He isn’t a dump, but he also ain’t worth Brock Faber & Liam Ohgren anymore either.
