He's small, but he's only 26, so he's young.
Also, Kings fans seem to have mostly liked him. They say he's a really good forechecker in spite of his size, so that's nice.

He is the Rudy of the league. A well-liked inspirational character in the lockerroom known for giving 110% on every single shift of every single game year around; however, he is a midget that gets ragdolled and completely steamrolled on every single shift of every single game year around

He looks like a child out there getting tossed around, but he will surprise players because he is highly skilled, has decent hands and shot, and because his motor is always maxed he can skate by some defenders and create some chances and offense. He is a very defensively responsible player known for solid backchecking along with hustled forechecking. The only problem is, due to his size and being manhandled, he can easily be outmuscled and still be scored on if the other team is competent and plays hard...

Easy player to love and root for, would be a superstar if he were born in a 6 foot 4 inch frame, deserves to be in the NHL, but his effectiveness is limited and he will make you wince over the punishment he'll take. He is surprisingly resilient, but can be injured because of it.

I really liked Lizotte a year ago, if anything it sounds like the give a shit meter will be raised this year.

Tons of heart, no complaints about his effort. Problem is he has to go 2000% all season long just to stay in the league. By the time the playoffs roll around he's spent.
Playoffs won't be a problem in his new team, at least for a while. :)

Between this signing and the Grzelcyk signing, Dubas is really doubling down on "small guy who gets pushed around" type.

Was Nathan Gerbe not available?
