I know he’s not a player you want with big minutes or in all situations, but I really like Labanc in the offensive zone. He is good with the puck and off the puck. The team needs that.

Lots of Jackets had good games tonight. Agreed with the top 2 stars. The D corp lay boosted the offense tonight. Oddly until the last shift with Danforth and Olivier, I didn't even realize Pyyhtia was playing.

Problem is, we won due to the Pens players having horrendous shooting, Elvis made several excellent saves and again, the third and fourth line players, except Pyyhtiä, played great. Voronkov improved as the game progressed, as did Sillinger. It wasn't until Monahan and Marchenko scored the fourth goal that the Pens stopped playing and it was decided but not when we needed it. But what is with Chinakhov?
I like Provorov more and more, he played reliably, which helps Severson. Werenski is great on offense.

Sorry, but to 4:2 Pens were better.
Maybe I'm alone but I've never been half as excited by Pyythia as others seem to be. Just feels like what he's always been but with some less minutes

Also, you know the Pens are cooked when they can’t even beat us anymore. You love to see it.
I think we beat Montreal. It's first line has played like the second, other like fourth. With Dach deteriorating Suzuki's line, Evans is the center of the second. The defense has improved though, but Matheson can easily help us. The goalies are a problem, Primeau is playing bad and Montembeault, if he plays, may be tired.

Fabbro helping to balance the D pairings by pushing Provy down (even 3rd pair can handle 15+ minutes a game). First time since October 30th that Z has played less than 25 minutes including 55+ minutes in back to backs vs Kings and Ducks. I know he's in great shape but don't want him worn out in first half of the season. Only 22 minutes tonight so he will be better to go tomorrow night vs Montreal.
lol, when I saw Pyyhtia played 13 minutes I thought I didn’t even remember seeing him a single time…
