Is Helenius a "top center prospect" though? Looks like he had a pretty mediocre year in the AHL and a blah WJC.
Youngest player in the AHL from the start of the season. Being 18 in that league is a hard ride.

That's fair.Youngest player in the AHL from the start of the season. Being 18 in that league is a hard ride.
Karlsson is a boutique D-man.Pens look to moving Karlsson this off season.
To; Buffalo: Karlsson with 2.5 million retention and Rust and number 2 pick
To: Pens Byram and Helenius and Buffalo number 1 pick.
Buffalo has to win now mode.
Buffalo gets badly needed RD and proven RW right shot scorer.
Pens get needed LD, higher end center or RW prospect and pick.
That's a common misperception. At this point in his career you need more retention for EK. He's a PP guy thats a massive liability defensively thatll need to be sheltered if he's on a team that wants to compete now.
I would trade Helenius for Rust. Send it over to Kevyn.Byram>Karlsson
Helenius>Rust
Buffalo 1st>Penguins 2nd
Not sure what I'm missing here. I think maybe you can argue the Helenius vs Rust thing but the rest is comically lopsided for the Penguins.

So his current value is even less? That's a common misperception.
EK isn't a great PP player - he got displaced on the Pens #1 unit by Grizzlick, justifiably.
Take it as you will. He's not an ideal PP1 guy.So his current value is even less?
I really think he's going to Carolina. Slavin - EK top pair is poetry.Dumb proposal as EK will never waive for BUF.
