Mario at the end really dropped off in goal scoring too. I know in the season before he finally retired for good, he still scored almost 30 goals. But you look at how many shots he took. His shooting percentage was way off his career norms. And then the last partial season he only had the one goal.

I didn’t get to watch those seasons because Center Ice didn’t exist. . But I wonder if it was because at the end, he couldn’t find the time and space to get his shots off clean? That seems to be what’s happening to Geno. I wonder if anyone on here remembers Mario at the end?
