The following phrase:

“Doesn't really help all that much. Meh”

Implies either 1. You expected it to OR 2. You are judging it by those standards.

So in conclusion yes, you did.
I thought we might make a bigger move when I got the alert, close to the deadline and all, but for what was traded it was ''meh''.

I love how I take up so much space in that head of yours with an innocuous post such as that.

You wanna debate it for ten pages?

You could just say i was right and end it now?

Because you literally just agreed with exactly what i said? You for no reason expected x and then complained when it was predictably z.

Or you can try to spin it for 10 more pages and pretend your above it? Your call.

But you're not right. Which is why this is funny.

Why does my ''meh'' reaction affect you so much?

You act as if I was devastated or something. Get real.

Of course it's my call. You hang on every word.

Imagine wanting to go to the MAT over a post like that.

I’m usually not a “needs to show emotion” kind of fan when it comes to baseball. Particularly with pitching. But Skenes is really walking a fine line between remaining even keel and giving off vibes of “It’s whatever. I’m out of here soon anyway”.
defintly gives off "im too good for this " vibes.

Its shocking that someone that talented has pitched like a #5 starter since May.

If Skenes is going to sit 97 from here on out, but he is still valued as an ace, they need to move him quickly this off-season.

Deal with the evil empire and demand Wrobleski and Pages. We end up stronger than what we got from Skenes this year.

97 should still get him in the 2.3-2.6 ERA range. But he keeps pitching like hes at 100. He's got to adjust, he can still be the best with 95-97. IF he works on it.

He just doesn't seem like a baseball nerd who obsesses over his craft though.

I don't think so. Look at him vs a guy like Wheeler. Wheeler has devastating secondary stuff and fantastic location. Skenes is just above average on both. He has not had to pitch with <99 mph since...his freshman year? His whole aura is predicated on the 4 seamer.

His movement is pretty sick on all his secondary pitches.

I mean he is still striking guys out and still has a pretty low WHIP. So the stuff is there, he's just allowing pretty brutal hits at bad spots in the game, and the defense hasn't helped him much. Like if he played in Tampa his ERA would be lower because they have good fielders.

Usaully when your WHIP is 1.061, you SHOULD have an ERA in the mid 2s

Since Mid May he's got a 4.84 ERA but a 2.87 FIP. 93Ks in 71 Innings

The defense is clearly a hindrance but no question he's not quite the dominant pitcher from the first two years. His velocity is down as we all know. I think he's trying to finesse too much.
