Lock up Barron for a reasonable contract and what a great deal for Jakub Touba

....and what a great deal for Jakub Touba![]()
Barron was part of the Copp trade (also a great trade by Chevy). Trouba was traded for Pionk and a 1st (Heinola).Lock up Barron for a reasonable contract and what a great deal for Jakub Touba![]()
maybe it has to do with the fact that pionk had to play with stanley/fleury while samberg got miller/schennNot so sure about that...Pionk without Samberg this year looks a lot like Pionk in the previous 3 seasons statistically (breakeven GF, underwater on metrics).
Samberg without Pionk has been worse than when he's with Pionk, but still a lot closer to decent than Pionk was without Samberg.
Anyway, as long as they're paired together, it's not a problem.
Define “biting us in the butt”.oh boy... I hope this doesnt end up biting us in the butt
Not only does Chevy cook. He is a Michelin star chef…Barron was part of the Copp trade (also a great trade by Chevy). Trouba was traded for Pionk and a 1st (Heinola).
Copp and a 6th for Barron, Lambert, Salmonsson, and Milic![]()
The Copp trade could end up being one of the most lopsided deals ever.Barron was part of the Copp trade (also a great trade by Chevy). Trouba was traded for Pionk and a 1st (Heinola).

we have 25.6 million left in cap spaceThis is what I thought he'd get, I just didnt think it would be here. So what does mean now? I suspect Ehlers is going to market, but is Vilardi gone too?
The Jets could afford to sign them all (maybe have to pick one of Appleton or Tanev) but I think Ehlers is gonna walk. This is what I thought he'd get, I just didnt think it would be here. So what does mean now? I suspect Ehlers is going to market, but is Vilardi gone too?
Then Connor, Lowry and Perfetti next year?Loll ehlers 7.5 mill.
Vilardi bridge him at 5ish
And Samberg 5.5
Just need to resign barron and kupari
cap is suppose to go from 95.5 to 104Then Connor, Lowry and Perfetti next year?
From what I’m seeing here, I don’t think Ehlers will be resigned. He is my favourite player, and I love to see him resigned, but I understand the Jets hesitancy on Ehlers.Too much term and too much money. Where is the Ehlers extension

I'm not convinced the market offers Ehlers that. He's very good no doubt but a LW isn't exactly a key position and while Ehlers is my favorite forward on the team, he's not without his own flaws. He can be difficult for some players and in some systems. Always has been. I think the Jets at times have underutilized him, but I also understand why. From what I’m seeing here, I don’t think Ehlers will be resigned. He misses on average 15 - 20 games per season, and that’s when his body was young, and strong. How’s he going to hold up with an older aging body ?
When you put yourself in the owners shoes, would you want to pay him in the $ 8 - 9 mil range? and that’s what he’ll attract.
I will understand if the Jets don’t resign him, or offer him around $ 7 mil, and if he doesn’t accept, they let him go to market.
I will truly miss Nik’s exciting play. I don’t think Ehlers signs here, unfortunately for Jets fans.
Lowry be 35 when his contract expires.. well get him cheap
