The exact opposite of the 2022 playoffs when the Knights were the more poised team and the Oilers were the team that created more but had inopportune breakdowns.

Stack Liine skated backwards all night against a dominating game by Vegas top line only to find the salvation killshot in OT enabled by a super smart chip pass by Perry. This game was carried by Oilers depth scoring notably Podkolzen's heavy skating and finishing game with less than 10 min toi. Blueline depth scoring with Walman and Nurse kill shots. Oiler specialty teams have to be much, much better. Static PP and PK needs to figure out weak side support. Several posts, crossbars and an average Hill.

Never ever complain about officiating. In a dominated OT reeling after giving up 2 goals the Oil were badly skating backwards and received a magnificent gift from the hockey gods with the missed Aridsson can opener on McNabb. The Stack guys size up to seize the moment and this series goes 2-0.

Walman and Bouchard OH BABYYYYYYYYY

Not like it matters now but the Oilers have some big decisions coming up with Bouchard, Walman and Ekholm all due new contracts in the next two offseasons, Klingberg too if they so choose to keep him. Walman is a $7-$8m player in this rising cap world. It's going to take some cap gymnastics to keep him.

In any event, he's been big time so lets cash in on having him on that steal of a contract for this season and next.

Edit: Kulak too. Nurse is the only Dman they have signed beyond next season.

He doesn’t. Rarely does he bother with statistics or any data. He just cherry picks moments from games, and even then he often misremembers what actually happened. Imagine trying to use that one missed call to argue that the refs are unbiased…like we all have goldfish memories?
