Shouldn't Vegas have been killing a goaltender interference penalty (where the Golden Knight tried to injure Pickard) when they scored the tying goal?

Stone is to blame as much as anyone on the OT goal. He doesn't even challenge Bouchard to get to the puck and then floats back to the defensive zone in time to collect the game winning puck.

Not every game will be perfect. That’s why you need your goalie when it matters. And tonight despite giving up 4 (should have been way more), pickard was fantastic and didn’t let in that next one. But yeah, mcdrai weren’t good which they admitted and edm’s special teams was awful again. That has been a pretty big trend these playoffs. Very uncharacteristic. Thank goodness for the depth scoring. They carried often these playoffs.

Hard to believe that this 2024-25 Oiler power play is the same one we saw for so many of the MC-Drai years. Not much intensity. I thought that half of that 5 minute major was simply wasted?

The best chance to score came off the rush when McDavid carried the puck behind the net and tried to make a play from there at high speed. From there they passed it around for another minute and a half without getting a scoring opportunity. All that time I was hoping Vegas would get control, shoot it down the ice and then maybe McDavid could get another rush chance. Nothing else was working.

The winning goal wasn’t a power play goal obviously but it was a play created by McDavid’s speed. They’ve gotta figure out how to create more of those types of opportunities. Those big trees (that PK Subban was saying were going to make the Oilers struggle) must have deep roots because they sure don’t move very well.

I have no f***ing sympathy for that fairweather fanbase out of all teams in the league. VGK has always been the precious golden child of Gary Bettman. What Arvy did to McNabb is a penalty, but in no way shape or form was it more malicious than Roy crosschecking Freddy in the face. If anything, Roy should get a game for that bullshit.

Hearing VGK fans chant 'ref you suck' twice tonight was comical. They do realize their team holds this record, right? Cry some more along with your LTIR king in Mark Stone. f*** VGK, f*** their team, and f*** their fans.
