Post-Game Talk: Pickard orders McDavid to go warp speed

Besides the tipped goal (as it’s poor to blame any goalie for that) Pickard let in goals you guys crucify Skinner for tonight and in his other starts.

If Skinner played this game you guys would be complaining about him giving up the lead in the third and Mcdrai saving his ass etc.
we woulda lost if Skinner played tonight

The Oilers were fortunate, but you can't apologize for getting a break.

Get back to the way they played in game 1 and work to get the brooms ready
Shouldn't say brooms but the confidence of this Oilers club this post season is like a 180 from what they were in the Winnipeg series. Back then the Oilers were skating around expecting bad things to happen. This year they have some kind of incredible confidence that they can win no matter what.

With goaltending this is a wagon. The Key was starting the right goalie. Starts from there.

Hard to believe that this 2024-25 Oiler power play is the same one we saw for so many of the MC-Drai years. Not much intensity. I thought that half of that 5 minute major was simply wasted?

Just stationary, being the same PP that the whole league has studied for half a decade. The Drai 1-timer never even becomes an option anymore. Yet somehow we allow Vegas to make that same pass on us with ease.

Badly need some PP adjustments still.

No, I get it. I’m choosing to believe he has more character than to laugh at someones injury
He was probably in disbelief that he didn't get a penalty.
Nice to win a game that we often lose.

Can they please fix the PP
They can fix the PK while they are at it! Who would have thought that our special teams could do us in?

Really gotta figure out both ends of the special teams. PK is bad and that "power play" in overtime was horrendous.
All I know about the PK is they're turning Kulak into a pylon. They're running the exact same 2 plays every time and they're both at his expense.

Eichel to Stone behind the net to Olofsson, or Eichel cross seam to Olofsson.
