First of all, Pickard saved their sorry hides all damn game. NONE of the goals were his fault and the score is really damn unfair to the guy and his GAA and SV %. Guy has come in and pulled them out of the fire and rolled them to 6 straight f***ing wins in the playoffs!!!

Secondly, 4th line showed up when no one really else did, and pulled them out of their malaise somewhat. That's why I have zero problems with Janmark and Brown being signed (though Brown is UFA this off season). Henrique... ehhh. Pods with the goal and assist, quietly working and being a significant contributor this post season thus far. Two D score crucial goals, in Walman and Nurse. The 2nd line even pots one with Kane crashing and banging towards the net.

McDavid and Draisaitl were absolutely atrocious defensively and black holes offensively... but one single shift, buoyed by a great play on the wall by Bouchard suppressing his guy and Perry with a neat, clean break out tip to send McDavid and he connects with Draisaitl in OT. They were off, all bloody game... until they weren't. Just one single play and they send the dagger into Vegas.

I'll say that Arvidsson got away with the trip. Also, Roy should be suspended for that garbage crosscheck on Frederic. All that being said -- I will bet money on the refs tilting the ice towards Vegas next couple of games at home. Oilers need to be really damn careful because they are going to be sent off for directing mean looks at their players.

They didn't deserve it tonight but they still pulled it out, and are up 2-0. Get home, PRACTICE LIKE MOFOS because you need to, on all aspects but especially D zone coverage and the special teams.

First of all, I am very happy that the Oilers won, especially with a great effort on the part of Pickard...

BUT

The officials totally gift wrapped that game for the Oilers despite their terrible play. Especially those two passengers: Leon and Connor...

If the Oilers continue to play the rest of the series the way that they did tonight, vegas is definitely going to come back and advance into the next round.

Hill was absolute garbage tonight. Said he was looking like Skinner. He seems to be having back problems but trying to play through. Vegas need to go with somebody else in net. Not just the 5 goals given up but he was beat on several others and his teammates managed to save his bacon. Then the two posts in OT, mind you nobody is stopping those ones.

Vegas D really panicking at worst moments. When we do get chances theres some doozies. That play by Petrangelo just at the end of the 5min major. You just cannot make that play. That was an inch from being game right there.

Agreed. Refs miss shit that’s the game. But I hate this narrative that we some how benefit from officiating when we’ve drawn the least power plays all playoffs and been one of the bottom 5 or so all regular season. McDavid was ranked like 250 in the league for pp’s drawn in the regular season. All the cry babies can eff off lol

Oil wasn't favoured for penalties. Roy flat out went to the face not even by mistake. Looked right at the player and made a push.
I don't even believe in a if it bleeds five mins. But a blatant attack to the face when it had to use in play and wasn't just accidental bad control of a stick or glove.
