Proposal: Pick swap with Ottawa

To Ottawa:
2026 2nd (OTT)

Utah gets the likely better of the two picks (at least statistically speaking as of right now), and Ottawa gets their pick back. It gives Ottawa flexibility to make an offer sheet but also gives them a pick they can potentially give up if Bettman lowers the Dadonov penalty to a 2nd (which seems more fair IMHO).

I was just in Victoria for 2 hours as the last stop on an Alaska cruise... my friend (who's also a travel agent) saw a Beaver Tail place and I was "welllll...ya know...ya ever been to Ottawa? Well 10 years ago I....yadda yadda yadda Rideau Canal...yadda yadda yadda skate on in winter ... yadda yadda and I had a beaver tail!..."

Not disagreeing about the Dadonov penalty being stiff, but the Coyotes lost a 1st round pick (11th overall) and a 2nd round pick over "stretchgate"

But then there is Chicago who did a lot worse and their penalty was fairly lite.
