Moverare is an effective stay-at-home defenceman. He has good agility and edgework, as well as solid backwards mobility. He is tough to beat one-on-one off the rush. If forwards attack Moverare’s side of the ice with their heads down, he is capable of throwing a big hit. Moverare shows good passing skills, especially in moving the puck out of the zone. He also has a decent shot. Those skills haven’t translated into offensive production yet; due to the fact that Moverare doesn’t take many offensive chances.
"Has a strong point shot but it’s accuracy and placement are areas for improvement."
Marvelous.
he keeps hitting the net. Give our coaches a couple of years and he will be shooting high and wide like everyone else.

"Of all the defensemen in the draft, our staff thought [Jacob] Moverare had the highest hockey IQ in the entire draft" - Mark Yannetti to MM
Glad we drafted another Swede. I'd rather draft Scandinavians than Russians, it seems like they're more willing to come over to North America and play...
A guy drafted at #112 ?
I'll pass on that kool-aid.
well, some reports had Moverare as the 8th best defenseman in the draft. If Yannetti said it and all of the staff scouts saw Moverare and hours of film too, still impressive. If their collective assessments are a bit off or skewed, it sounds like Moverare has solid hockey IQ
and that alone is great. Is 6'2 200, was called the best D on the Swede U18 and is moving to SEL. What's not to like, especially at 112?
