The delulu is real,

We have tangible data and proof the impact Hutson is having on the team. Suzuki is going to finish with 87+ pts this year… first time hes above ppg since he’s in the league. Could have been a 100 pts season if Hutson was playong on the 1st wave throughtout the season.

Is Bedard elevating anyone’s game in chicago?

First year of Hutson, mtl is officially in the mix

2nd year of Bedard, Chicago are still bottom feeders.

Lets be real the copium has to stop, he’s nowhere near the hockey player Hutson is.

Bedard hasn't quite set the world on fire like a lot of people were projecting he would, but he's also been in a pretty cruddy situation without a lot of real help and support around him. I'd still pretty easily take him...both in a vacuum, but particularly in terms of "team needs" for the Canucks. Having Hutson in addition to already having Quin Hughes would be...a little redundant. Bedard if nothing else, would fill the gaping hole that is the 2C spot, or provide a great goal-scoring winger for Pettersson at worst...and likely be a major boon to the Canucks powerplay as a RH shooter who would probably thrive with Hughes teeing him up for shots as well as some of the other talented weapons they can throw out there (like Petey if he's feeling good vibes at the time).

I think i'd probably even go so far as to say that for Vancouver at least...i'd really think about taking Beniers over Hutson as well. And i do wonder how he'd do in a different situation where at least theoretically, on paper...he'd be able to just slot in as the 2C and not be expected to the the primary "focal point" of the offense.

I can’t justify taking a small d man that is not very responsible defensively vs an elite goal scorer
Hutson While he is small he's quite responsible defensively. Maybe you should try watching instead of showing your ignorance about his game. Ya even the stats will prove you wrong

If i was watching Hutson and Bedard play anonymously and without any prior bias about "ceilings" and "potentials" and had to choose one i'd probably pick Hutson not gonna lie.
