WJ hockey is some of the best hockey every year, its relevant to a lot of people. The 4 nations although better than advertised was still a gimmicky tournament that didn't feature one of the better nations

Didn't seem like a gimmick with the way the players treated it.

Probably would have been less of a gimmick to some if their team won too.

From a compositional standpoint, that one could go in National Geographic. It tells the story of the tribalism we experience in sports fandom.

F-16 Flyover at a sold out Ohio Stadium (95,000 for hockey) before Jackets Red Wings. Jackets won 5-3 without any high sticks...

I tried to post a team USA pic winning anything relevant since the year 2000. But it said ‘sorry that site doesn’t exist’

Same search results came up for “Canadian team winning the Stanley Cup after 1993”.

(And yeah, there’s a lot of Canadian players on those US based teams. 90% of them choose to work and live not in Canada. Lol.)
