Buehler did his job tonight. 12 outs no runs. Guessing that's it for him. The Mets are third time through next inning.

Imagine thinking Trea could make that play Lindor did 😂.

Here I was thinking Buehler would be a liability for them. He looked rough on his first batter and was lights out after that. If he's back and rolling like that Dodgers will be hard for anyone to beat.

Mets have a big problem right now with Alvarez. He's their best catcher by far and they need him behind the plate, but he's an absolute black hole in the 9 spot. Back half of their lineup (Marte, Taylor, Iglesias) are quite adept at getting on base and creating situations, but Alvarez is a free out who either ends the rally or turns the situation over to the top of the lineup with 2 outs.

I don't think any of the catchers left are hitting (it's hard).

Alvarez
Will Smith was like 2-for-22 before last night.
Austin Wells is 2-for-24.
Bo Naylor is 0-for-14.
Austin Hedges 0-for-9.

Cleveland doesn't have a hit from a catcher all postseason.

Actually here is the catcher "leaderboard" for the postseason. Not great.

This is why bullpen is such a crap shoot at times. Emannuel Clase was undisputedly the best closer this past season and had one of the best seasons by a closer in years.

0.61 ERA, 47 saves. 0.659 WHIP, 2 HR allowed in 74.1 innings.

He just gave up back to back HR's to Judge and Stanton. With the Guardians holding a 3-1 lead in the 8th inning and 1-out with Soto on 1st and Judge up. Comes into the game and gives up a 2 run HR to Judge to tie it 3-3. Then gives up a go-ahead solo to Stanton making it 4-3 Yankees.

Yankees already lead the series 2-0.

Clase had a 6.35 ERA in the ALDS against Detroit with 4 runs allowed. This is his first appearance in the ALCS.

Mookie appeared to just end this game.

Maybe not, bases loaded nobody out for the Mets now.
