Cant help but wonder what would would have happened if they never removed Turnbull from the rotation for Walker. Does keeping Turnbull in his routine keep him healthy? Do we avoid this 5th starter fiasco?

The Phils have made A LOT of mistakes this season for a 1st place team.

Turnbull has never stayed healthy.
The real problem was Painter blowing out his elbow.
Walker was a decent 5th starter until this season, overpaid but could eat innings.

Next season, they'll probably bring a cheap veteran to compete with Walker.
Reason: Lehigh will have Painter, Abel, Johnson and McGowan in the rotation. With Chace, Cabrera and Castellanos starting the season in Reading.

Painter already throwing 98 in short rehab stints. He may make the team out of ST training, but will probably start in Lehigh. However, coming off TJ, they'll limit his innings.

Team has won 16 of 20 and 2 of those losses were late game heroics by the Phils at home. This isn't going to be easy in NYC

Rojas clutch again. Bohm with a hot bat would be huge

Was giving them 2 runs the right call on that ball boy play? Serious question. I figured everyone would advance 1 base. I guess it's probably ump discretion

Pretty sure it’s two bases for each runner on a ground rule double. The base you’re headed to plus the next one.

I'd love to clinch a playoff berth tonight though I'd also love to keep the Braves out. They are losing at the moment. This is excellent regardless.
