AA has a week longer regular season. Probably trying to give him a chance to acclimate at a level he'll most likely start at next year.
Sure makes sense to me. He struck out a lot in high A but also walked 30 times in like 50 games. Obviously no Juan Soto, but a .258 BA and a .353 obp lends to believe he has selectivity that'll play in the upper le els of the minors. Definitely not expecting him to light up AA right away though

He got off to a miserable start. Lights out the last month or so.

Reading is a great place to hit, especially compared to Lakewood. Night and day.

Miller is playing SS right now, better than expected.
However, once Caba learns how to hit, he's the SS of the future, elite fielding tools.

Castellanos has 2 years left, his replacement may be Crawford/Ricones, both who were at Reading this year. Ricones has struggled with injuries, but has plus power, big boi. Both are LH.

Miller should be a better fielder at 3B than Bohm, who is blocked at 1B and kinda young for DH.

The guy to watch is Tait, 17 year old catcher finishing the season at Clearwater.

In better news. Both of the prospects the Phillies acquired for Gregory Soto from the Orioles at the trade deadline won pitcher of the week in their respective levels.

Seth Johnson: Pitcher of the week: International League(AAA)
1 start: 6 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 6 K
(has a 0.56 ERA and a 0.94 BAA in 3 AAA starts since promoted)

Moises Chace: Pitcher of the Week: Eastern League (AA)
1 start: 6 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 13 K
(has a 1.72 ERA and a 16.7 K/9 in 3 AA starts since promoted)

Phillips was a good story a month or so ago, but you could never really rely on him to be the guy. But when the only other option is Top Deck Taijuan, what are ya gonna do.

At least when we get to the postseason the rotation will shorten so you can go Wheeler-Nola-Ranger-Sanchez. I just wish every 5th game wasn't a complete throwaway right now.
