The NL HR leaders for the last 30 days.
#1) Trea Turner (PHI), 13
#1) Kyle Schwarber (PHI), 13
#3) Marcell Ozuna (ATL), 10
#3) Matt Olson (ATL), 10
#3) Ronald Acuna Jr (ATL), 10
#6) Bryce Harper (PHI), 9

There are other teams in the NL right?
One of those teams is 14-13 in that span. The other is 19-9.

Fidrych?

Obviously some of these are injury related... but Dontrelle Willis looked like hall of fame trajectory before 25 and then was just garbage.

Steve Avery looked like he was going to be challenging Smoltz, Maddux, and Glavine for a Cy Young and then he just fell apart .
There are exceptions of course. They are pitchers after all. A lot of volatility with the position.

Two of those are before my time but Dontrelle didn't have a huge track record before he made the big leagues. Chicago gave him away. Dontrelle's downfall was command. Possibly not being able to repeat a unique and over exaggerated delivery. He was a head whacker too. Hell of a hitter though.

Also a different era of baseball. Pitcher technology/data and general knowledge of pitcher mechanics is light years ahead of what it was 20 years ago. Guys reinvent themselves all of the time...if they put the work in.

This umpire should be investigated for how badly he's squeezing Wheeler. This is f***ing disgusting.

Would be great if Bohm stopped hitting into DP

Wheeler completely imploding in his biggest start of the season. Hooray for not having an ace!

I guess Snell is the front runner? What a bad Cy Young race. I feel like Strider should be the front runner for being unhittable 4/5 of the time
