That’s what they employ. How many free swinging guys aren’t in their lineup? Like Schwarber & Stott? The latter which has sucked at the plate this year regardless.
So just shrug your shoulders and say you can't do anything because players can't change?

f*** that, good coaching brings out the best in everyone, sometimes necessitating a change in approach. I've never seen Topper and his staff do that, and that's damning.

Thompson will probably be sacrificed if a switch isn’t flipped soon. Move on from one or more of Stott and Marsh. Give Bohm one more year as he was great the first half of the season. Cut bait with Nick anyway you can. Get a couple guys who have good eyes and can get on base

It’s all too common for the batters to embarrass themselves in the postseason

I mean when you think about it, is there anyone in the lineup who has gotten noticeably better under Topper? Anyone?

Seems like the entire lineup is suffering from the same issues that plagued it 2 years ago, the same issues that led to the collapse in the World Series, the same issues that led to the collapse in the NLCS, and now is leading to a complete collapse in the NLDS.

He's not a good manager. You can't win on good vibes alone, you need to actually be able to coach and make players better.

Fire Topper, clean house of the entire coaching staff, DFA Castellanos, desperately try to find improvements for Bohm, Stott, and probably Marsh as well.

Do that, and then maybe the team can take the next step. As it is now, they're stuck in the mud and only sinking.
