It wouldn’t be so bad if he didn’t also call the first pitch of the AB a strike when it was a foot inside. Turned it into a 27 inch plate. Miller also had no command and was all over the place.

As a former catcher, I am always amazed at the umps that go out of their way to f*** the bumper between them and getting smoked with 100.

I'd be furious if I was Kerkering. How many times are they going to bring this guy into the game with 2 men on?

Romano threw 2 fastballs, one at 96 and one at 94. Everything else was a nicely located curve or slider. So...continuing to improve I would say?

The NL is so competitive this year I'm not sure how they playing Bohm over Sosa for the time being.
I don't get it. I mean I thought Sosa was hurt or something with not having him play, but it's all apparently on Thomson.

BTW. Sosa is a whole 5 months OLDER than Alec Bohm.

Sosa is a drop-off defensively at 3B, but considering Alec Bohm went like 0-5 three games in a row last week I think it would have been a pretty acceptable trade-off to see if you got ANY offense from Sosa at 3B.
