They have a good AAA pen. Those guys are in AAA for a reason of course, but someone could pop. They don't really have the flexibility to make in season moves because no one you'd want to send down outside of maybe Banks, has options. Bullpen pieces are easier to acquire than anything else.
Hernandez looked good last night and Romano looked like he might not be completely cooked. We'll see if he can do it for more than one appearance at a time. Ross was put in a tough spot. He's a multi-inning middle reliever, possible spot start guy, not a late inning guy. You still have to feel good about Strahm, Kerkering, and Alvarado if he can stay healthy (big workload so far) in the back.
Good CFs don't become available really. They'll probably just go back to a platoon at some point. I doubt Crawford moves the needle much this year given what was discussed and his defense gets mixed reviews so even expecting 2023 Rojas is a bit optimistic.
Miller has played 3B but he's two years removed from high school and hitting .100 at AA. Was never really a serious option this year unless he went and had one of those classic Reading runs. Still might, but it's an aggressive assignment and showing that he's not close at the moment. Gotta ride it out with Bohm as frustrating as he is.
