Other Sports: Philadelphia Phillies 2025 (Spring Training Forward): Deferring to 2036

Since 2023 Nola has given up a HR in 24 out of 32 starts (2023), 22 out of 33 (2024) and both starts this year.

Didn't think Bohm had that in his bag.

Weird pitch. Good horizontal break. Velo is there. It reminds me of a mirrored version of Sandy Alcantara if he couldn’t locate it?

It doesn't seem very deceptive. Wonder what the VAA is. Not much ride on it
He doesn't get whiffs on it. Skenes also doesn't have great FB shape but he lives at 100. There is a huge difference between 97 and 100. Roki was 100-102 two years ago but lost it at 22. Will probably need a cutter/sinker at some point.

Splitter is pretty good though.

Aaron is throwing 91.
He does every year at this time and then in the summer he touches 95 when he needs to. Weather dependent I guess.

Getting squeezed too which doesn't help.

I think part of the issue is he throws so over the top that the horizontal break is (stay with me here) deceptively not deceptive. It would look like it runs a lot more if he threw from a lower arm slot. And he doesn't have the ride to give it that "rising" illusion like Wheeler.

Nerd stuff aside, he just can't locate right now. We can talk about pitch shape all night but if you keep walking 5 per 9 or whatever it is...well

That splitter not rotating is seriously amazing. That one to Marsh was insane

He's hovering right around that lower right corner with lefties. Not giving that to him forces him to the middle sometimes, which is when he gets into trouble.

Yeah it's not 2006 anymore, you need something to set 97 apart nowadays. Pros will hit it. It doesn't blow you away every time anymore.

Of course he's shoving 98 to Harper right now lol. Has that adrenaline going

Castellanos vs that splitter is going exactly how we all thought.

In fact, this is all going how we all thought. Surprise, 1 walk in 4 innings for the guy who walked 10 in his last 5
