Other Sports: Philadelphia Phillies 2025 (Spring Training Forward): Deferring to 2036

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Stubbs goes to AAA though we might be stuck for a couple Taijuan starts. Such agony.

Dave Dombrowski's top 4 Free Agent signings (Schwarber, Castellanos, Turner, Walker) cost an annual $85 Million against the cap and have accumulated less than 10 WAR total in 3 seasons.

Let's not even get started on his trades to improve the team.

And some people defend this bum lol

I had nonidea Altuve is going be playing the outfield. He hasn't gone very well so far though.

I like DD those his past couple seasons have been underwhelming. I think Kepler will be serviceable though.

If you're banking on a 32 year old 1.5-2 WAR player to bolster the OF, good luck.

That would be a major upgrade. There were a bottom 8 outfield last year. It was terrible. They will win at least 90 games barring injuries. After that who knows in the playoffs.

They might not make the Playoffs. They'll be competing for 1 of the 3 wild card spots with some very good younger teams. If the bullpen regresses as much as I think it will, it's gonna be a grind all season. The rotation looks great on paper, until you realize Suarez is probably cooked and Luzardo is injury-prone as well. Walker is dog water, so they'll need Painter to step in and some point and be as advertised.

I think the Phillies are going to struggle this year. Hope I'm wrong but I just don't hav a great feeling about them.

These guys will win 90 again. Unfortunately the NL is a gauntlet and that doesn't guarantee them any type of playoffs. But these guys are good...are they good enough to get the big one?. New year, same thing

When this doesn’t work, can they finally DFA or release him?

How to lose interest in a fanbase is the example here. Though tbh, as I posted here after the season ended i would have looked to potentially trade Ranger. Now his black is flaring up again and who knows what he gives them.
