This is an elite tweet.

For context, a tweet was going around that no person in the world has ever texted about a Bengals playoff win (first text was sent in 1992, last Bengals playoff win 1991)

Honestly I was watching on my phone at the Nets game and I was almost in tears after that last play. 31 years after beating the Oilers at Riverfront when I was in 7th grade I finally saw another Bengals win.

Anyone still firing off "spread offenses are for college" takes tonight?

Wait is this a thing?

Are these people aware of how much the rules favor passing?

Edit: No way people argue this. I refuse to believe it. NFL teams often run trips with a TE/HB as receivers (and the TE on the opposite end to boot), how would that not be spread?

Edit 2: Actually yeah there's easily a way people argue this. Announcers never talk about "spread" during NFL games but you hear it nonstop during college games and discussion so despite staring at the same concept, fans probably don't make the link and assume it's only a college thing because that's where it's talked about. Framing and context are influential.

I also remember when the RPO was a college gimmick that would be useless in the NFL,

I'm definitely guilty of this. For decades I was super opposed to mobile QBs - despite the fact that the hero of my life was one of the best mobile QBs to ever play the game - because it always felt to me like they were too ready to give up on the pass and take off running. I always want passing. Because of that, I always hated anything that looked like "college plays." Plus, I don't have the vocabulary with football tactics to even understand what I am looking at half the time.
