This is the same stuff people said about guys like Jevon Kearse and DeMarcus Ware. You don’t have to be good at every aspect of a position.
Hell, in this case, we even have a modern positional distinction. Kelce was a Move TE. Those guys aren’t asked to block much by design. The counter argument to this is usually “Well then why does he line up like a traditional TE?” He doesn’t. He lines up more often where a WR would than where a traditional TE does. Positions are just generic labels that miss meaningful description more often as the game evolves.
