This was the greatest Super Bowl I never watched. Checking out the highlights this morning I kind of wish I had. Oh well
A former college teammate of mine and former Bronco's player who hates the Chiefs. I texted him at halftime and said "bet you are loving this" and he's like "umm what? not watchin' you know I hate them", I was like your going to like it trust me .. some expletives were texted back ... I think think he tuned in after that.

What a day. I truly didn't plan on going but the Eagles came through with what I considered completely reasonable priced tickets. My NFC Championship game tickets sold for more than what we paid so impossible to pass that up.

Shout out to Jojo for some info on some great spots to hit up for someone who has never been to NOLA before. Definitely helped us navigate our crew a little easier.

Absolute boots to ass beatdown on both sides of the ball that was enjoyable for every single second. Something we'll never see again. It was a party the whole way through.

I won't pretend that I know all the details from watching in the stadium so i'll be watching the broadcast later today or tomorrow to get a better feel for it all but anyone with eyes could see how the defensive line just absolutely mauled them and there was nothing the Chiefs could do. The offense was a buzz saw. They said "Hurts beat me" and he tore them apart.

I was wrong about Jalen Hurts, I was wrong about Howie Roseman. It's great to be wrong when it's in such a meaningful way. As always, I don't know shit about f***.

The group that i'm most proud of though for their performance was the fans at the stadium. I don't know if it came through on the broadcast but it was an absolutely masterclass by the fanbase. They brought it the entire game from the introductions which was absolutely amazing that we couldn't even hear Jon Hamm talk. The Chiefs were being boo'd out of the stadium and then the Eagles were introduced and goose bumps. That continued the whole damn game as we celebrated the whole damn game. Show a Chiefs can on the scoreboard? Boo. Show an Eagles fan? Cheers like the team just scored a touchdown. We deserve this. All of us. Past and present.

Which brings me to the moment that hit me the most. As many of you know my dad faced a few medical obstacles in the past which precluded him from traveling with my brother, my wife, and I to Minneapolis for LII despite us having a ticket for him. In what I considered a gross waste of money, my brother wound up not doing anything with my Dad's ticket and the seat stayed empty. The Eagles won. My dad would go on to pass away less then a year from that point. Yesterday? I went with two of my brothers and my brother-in-law. With about 8 minutes left in the second quarter, it hit me that the seat next to me was empty. It wasn't our seat. Within a minute, Cooper DeJean picked off that pass and brought it to the house. My dad was with us and all the nerves for the game disappeared. No one showed up in that seat the rest of the game.

This truly is for everyone in the fandom. For the ones that you watched your first game with, for the ones that you watched your last games with, for the ones that you introduced the Eagles to, and for the ones that are yet to come. Enjoy every second.

Go Birds.

I figured you were heading down there when you were asking about the weather 🤣

Glad you got to see another SB win in person and an experience of a lifetime.

On that front, we were down in Aruba for the NFCCG, with my wife's entire family, her parents, and then her two sister's and their families. My FIL ended up buying 4 tickets to the SB while we were down there. Since my wife is pregnant and we have our 16 month old, my FIL assumed that she wouldn't want to go and never bothered to actually ask her if she'd want to go. So my wife's parents and her two sisters ended up going to the game while she stayed home. They left Friday morning and came home earlier today. Needless to say, my wife was a bit upset, but handled it much better than I would have if I was in her position 😂

I would be shocked if it's not Detroit.
I think they save Detroit for later in the season. The NFL needs a good matchup, but a great one. Though they did give us Bal/KC this season. But, KC's home schedule, outside of their division (big questions with Den at QB, LV at QB and Harbaugh returning), basically meant it was going to be a non division foe. NO/TB, not great teams and probably not great draws either. Left with Hou, Cin, Bal. I had expected Houston, coming off their playoff run with Stroud to open, but they ended up being the Xmas game. Thus, got Balt.

I think Det/Phi ends up being a stand alone game later in the year or it's basically the main afternoon game at some point during the season.

Has Andy Reid ever had a worse game? Their first play was nice and then nothing. Flashbacks to him in Philly not running the ball. I figured he would have made some halftime adjustments that would make us sweat a little but nope.

It feels good to beat him this time but I bear him no ill will. He put Eagles football in the map and set a standard of excellence that has persisted to this day minus the odd season here and there. Plus he’ll always be fondly remembered for the TVs at Montgomery County Corrections Facility

To be fair, kind of hard to call a game when the opposing team is constantly sending just four & getting to the QB at a crazy rate. I think the Jimmy’s & Joe’s had more to do with last night than the X’s & O’s.

Congrats. As a Northern Eagles and Flyers fan, that was epic.
Bringing in Barkley and upgrading the D, to the best in the league, was genius by Roseman.
I threw a bet on the Eagles as Champs in December. I told my buddies, the Chiefs will get crushed by Philys huge o and d lines.
Nice to see Hurts and that Defence make fools of KC.
Can the flyers borrow Roseman this off season.
Philly deserves another Championship party in South Philly.
The birds bring a person up, the flyers are well, the flyers.

First series, you could sense KC OL would be in tough. Then the second series after the phi TD, ended quickly. Once it got to the 3rd possession you have to wonder, ok the 5 OL can’t hold up. Need a TE or RB to block. Would then leave 4 guys vs 7 in coverage. Basically everyone gets doubled save for like the check down option.

But that’s a better option than just trusting that OL to handle the phi pass rush.

They bet on the BYU OL from rd 2 to be their starter and he could not handle the job. Their IOl was strong with thuney, creed, and smith. Probably should have left that in tact and used TE or RB to help the OT.

Have to regroup and figure out how to improve the OL. Can’t do anything with Taylor. Has guaranteed money in 2025. Smith is a free agent so need 2 OL in the off season. RG and LT.

Still think that nick sirianni guy is a chump. We haven't solved our problems, the super duper bowl vs the aliens next week is going to be a struggle. Hope we win.

KC could opt to max protect but their WR, the vets aren’t what they used to be so couldn’t get free vs 7 in coverage. Youngster Worthy, vs starters against a Fangio umbrella D isn’t going over the top regularly.

KC could not afford to fall behind by 2 scores. Lacked Game breakers.

Feel for Reid but they simply lacked talent on the OL. Interior was good if left as it should be. ot were a mess much like the TB loss.

That Chiefs team is the 2023 Eagles without the epic collapse. Change my mind.
