Other Sports: Philadelphia Eagles (NFL): THIS IS BRAZIL - Super Bowl LIX Champions

Probably the most professional, efficient and dominating performance from a Philadelphia sports team since...? Honestly... when?
Probably ever. Sixers swept the Lakers in 1983 is probably closest 2nd best performance by one of the major Philly sports teams in a Championship.

But the sheer level of domination in this game would have been like needing to sweep a series and win every game by like 15 points.

I would call Sweat possible but unlikely.

Milton Williams I just cannot see. I kept saying I thought they'd try to keep him over everyone else, but he's going to make too much money now. He doesn't even turn 26 until April. Someone is backing up a second armored car.

The DL won this game. Make no mistake about it. The back end of the defense played well too, but everything hinged on getting pressure with 4. This was their best game of the year by far.
They simply have to do everything they can to keep as much D line as possible/trade for replacements

That Huff contract is a killer

Milton is getting more than Hargrave isn't he? o7

I think so. That shitty Spotrac site (which I absolutely did not visit) apparently projected him at 3/36. I HOWLED. He'll get more than that guaranteed. Hargrave got 40.

You know i agree with the teambuilding.

Hunt giving them anything at all this year was frankly incredible. He was as raw as raw gets. I'm excited about where that one goes.

I think 4 years $90 million ish with $45 guaranteed

Not only did he give them something, he was totally playable, if not flat out effective

What a day. I truly didn't plan on going but the Eagles came through with what I considered completely reasonable priced tickets. My NFC Championship game tickets sold for more than what we paid so impossible to pass that up.

Shout out to Jojo for some info on some great spots to hit up for someone who has never been to NOLA before. Definitely helped us navigate our crew a little easier.

Absolute boots to ass beatdown on both sides of the ball that was enjoyable for every single second. Something we'll never see again. It was a party the whole way through.

I won't pretend that I know all the details from watching in the stadium so i'll be watching the broadcast later today or tomorrow to get a better feel for it all but anyone with eyes could see how the defensive line just absolutely mauled them and there was nothing the Chiefs could do. The offense was a buzz saw. They said "Hurts beat me" and he tore them apart.

I was wrong about Jalen Hurts, I was wrong about Howie Roseman. It's great to be wrong when it's in such a meaningful way. As always, I don't know shit about f***.

The group that i'm most proud of though for their performance was the fans at the stadium. I don't know if it came through on the broadcast but it was an absolutely masterclass by the fanbase. They brought it the entire game from the introductions which was absolutely amazing that we couldn't even hear Jon Hamm talk. The Chiefs were being boo'd out of the stadium and then the Eagles were introduced and goose bumps. That continued the whole damn game as we celebrated the whole damn game. Show a Chiefs can on the scoreboard? Boo. Show an Eagles fan? Cheers like the team just scored a touchdown. We deserve this. All of us. Past and present.

Which brings me to the moment that hit me the most. As many of you know my dad faced a few medical obstacles in the past which precluded him from traveling with my brother, my wife, and I to Minneapolis for LII despite us having a ticket for him. In what I considered a gross waste of money, my brother wound up not doing anything with my Dad's ticket and the seat stayed empty. The Eagles won. My dad would go on to pass away less then a year from that point. Yesterday? I went with two of my brothers and my brother-in-law. With about 8 minutes left in the second quarter, it hit me that the seat next to me was empty. It wasn't our seat. Within a minute, Cooper DeJean picked off that pass and brought it to the house. My dad was with us and all the nerves for the game disappeared. No one showed up in that seat the rest of the game.

This truly is for everyone in the fandom. For the ones that you watched your first game with, for the ones that you watched your last games with, for the ones that you introduced the Eagles to, and for the ones that are yet to come. Enjoy every second.

Go Birds.

And on top of this, I would also say that I think it’s very much a real possibility that Howie & Co. believe that Ojomo has another 2 or so levels that can be reached, and can replace that production

Yea sweat is more important/cheaper in the present moment.

Its a great draft to need D Line help too.

So it wasn't a dream, we really did bitch slap those bastards

Unreal, my oldest daughter was 1 month old for LII. Having her celebrate with me last night is a memory I will remember forever, and I can honestly say I never ever thought that was going to be a possibility.

So many happy tears shed the last 12 hours, and it'll continue for a while.

Ok, but why are you making me cry this morning?

Seriously though—what an amazing & personal story, and yes, that seat was your dad’s and he was there with you guys.

Go Birds!

Most importantly, I’m glad you guys had a good time.

Be prepared to be disappointed in the broadcast audio. The sound levels were weird all night including the halftime show.
