Not sure if this was mentioned but I read that Hurts had a +0.51 EPA in the Super Bowl which is the best for a QB in the last 25 years. Not sure if that was Super Bowls or years. Also not sure if true.

I believe that is Super Bowls.
Jalen Hurts had a 0.51 EPA in the Super Bowl.
Tom Brady has a 0.47 in 2017, Nick Foles also had a 0.47 in 2017 (just slightly behind Brady by like thousandths of a point)

just wish he was as good as herbert

I think his numbers are dead-on

If the Eagles want to sign Baun, they probably need to be between 13-15 per year

If Bechton wants to come back to the Eagles, he's probably going to have to be 10 or under. But I also am not sure he'll be brought back since Steen is here.

Sweat and Milton are gone, IMO.

Would LOVE for Baun to be back but those numbers are cray after one good season IMO. Anyway hope he wants to be back too but understand this is his chance to be set up for life and cant blame him if that takes him elsewhere.

Milt it was real. Have a good career.

We'll see on the other two. Probably gone but there is a sliver that something mutually good could happen.

Don't ever concern yourself with Spotrac. It's run by an idiot and a thief.

There are plenty of good salary cap people out there -- Fitzgerald (OTC), Spielberger (formerly PFF now works for agents or something), etc.

Explain. As you know I'm a professional hater of the immoral. Love to learn this stuff.

On a more important note, what do we realistically see happening with these key FAs? Can only sign one? Two depending?

If you trade for Garrett, can you restructure for more cap space to bring one of these 4 back?

The only thing I'm confident in saying is Bechton is the easiest one BY FAR to let walk. Next man up, Stout will never fail

Offensive and defensive lines we’ve always churned players out so not really worried letting Sweat and Williams walk. They were pivotal and were arguably the co-MVP’s of the Super Bowl but the Eagles just shouldn’t spend that kind of money on them. Those 2 players deserve the payday though.

It was nice actually having a high end linebacker. Baun was a difference maker and the Eagles historically have been terrible at the position so I’d like to keep him most.

1st round will probably be defensive line though I wouldn’t mind a Goedert replacement if Warren or Loveland make it there

Spotrac started by simply copying others’ work and then building a website to host it.

Note: Keith Smith eventually became their NBA guy. He’s not like that at all.

1-2, yes. I’m assuming 1. I thought all year it would be Williams. Not anymore obviously. On no planet should he take what they can give him.

I agree with you on Becton. He’s a wonderful run blocker and has a tendency for bad misses in pass protection. Overall, he’s still good. I just don’t think this team in this cap situation should pay his archetype or a guy with his injury history. He’s worth more to another team and I hope he gets a bag and a half.

The only reason they should sign Becton is if they think he'll eventually kick back outside as Lane's replacement. The only problem is if he knows that's the plan long term (which I'm sure they would need to disclose in negotiations) is that he's going to want to be paid closer to tackle money than guard on an extended deal.

Williams is gone. But like Hargrave, the Eagles will find a way for someone to run partner to JC. Davis was used more in the rotation in obvious passing situations, so I imagine he'll be feature, but they need more depth there. JC is not like Donald, meaning he's not a marathon runner in a DT's body. I don't think he can continue the level of snaps he saw this year.

Baun is really going to test Howie's resolve on roster philosophy, and I can see letting him go, honestly. Obviously, rangy sure tackling LB's are a huge plus in Vic's scheme, but those aren't traits that you should overpay to keep. The Georgia fan in me says just draft Mondon and pencil in a rookie contract to that slot.

and it's also worth noting while you can definitely look at paper, look at schemes and player evaluations and say this guy can be replaced by this other guy.

It certainly can have an impact to the morale/approach of a defensive unit who just utterly dominated and then let a whole bunch of the guys who were part of that domination go.

I've watched during the year (especially during the playoffs) a lot of those sidelines clips, between plays stuff and Baun really seemed to be a huge part of talking to the defense and lifting guys up.
