@achdumeingute JT O'Sullivan happened to cover the play we were talking about. His two main points were the ones we each brought up -- doesn't like the design and flat out not good enough from the QB.

I timestamped that discussion for anyone that wants to learn:

My takeaway from this single play analysis is..."we have no answers". (I know...beating a dead horse)

I would rather have sacks than risky throws on our side of the field. He could throw it away, probably should... but Hurts has ALWAYS been a "nonono...yes" QB. For every big play he makes by extending, he taketh with sacks.

Stop exacerbating the problem Kellen.

What I don’t know how to answer is how much of this is stubbornly calling plays Hurts isn’t comfortable with vs what he can execute in practice but not games. I feel like I have none of the relevant information to have an opinion on it.

1000% all true. Full context is tough.

There are a lot of micro decisions that go into every play.

If this play was intended to set up misdirection look for a Devonta slugo or Dotson go route against single high safety later in the game its the greatest call ever.

There are only a few people who would have the real answer, Kellen Moore, Jalen Hurts, Kenny Pickett, Tanner McKee, and Doug Nussmeier as they would know what was gone over during the week, the game plan and what the call was.

My feeling, I've said it a few times, is that Moore and Hurts are on different pages and really haven't settled into a good flow with each other, I would have thought by this point in the season that they would have found some common ground, Im speaking passing game, I believe this is why there was the push to go ground heavy because the other offensive players could see the passing game wasn't improving and they couldn't waste the season figuring out how to work together.

The problem with Hurts has always been that "nonono...yes" is yes doesn't happen, in most cases, until the receiver has clear separation which is 2 no's too late.

Can Jalen even run better than Mahomes or Dak?

When it comes to that aspect of running, before the ankle injury Dak > Hurts >> post-injury Dak.

PFF Bobby out in Houston

From what I remember, they chose Slowik over Nick Caley from the Rams last time. He still hasn't gotten a gig, so I'm assuming that's the favorite.

I’m retired.

Only way I’m going is if I can get face value tickets through team and even then I still probably won’t. It’s just gotten obscene.

My first Super Bowl in 2007 in Miami our Club Seats had a $700 face value and in 2023 for Arizona they were $3500 face value for 100 level end zone seats.

That’s before you get into the absurd scalping prices and how the NFL now has their legalized scalping with their On Location packages. They offer an “experience” with the tickets which is usually an all inclusive pre-game party with an absurd amount of people so you don’t get anything out of it. That allows them to change the prices however they want since it’s not just the tickets.
I should of went when it was Minny. It was $3800 USD at the time which is like 5K for me, but I just thought it would of been to stressful to be there lol. In hindsight, it was the wrong choice.
