Another thing that I actually don't care about but want to say: Mailata snubbed for the pro bowl sure is something. AJ too, but I mean I get it with so many good WR out there. But we're talking about one of the game's best o lineman, let alone tackle

Could not give a single, solitary shit. The coach’s job is to prioritize the right things. If he caved to that, it’s a fireable offense to me. Completely understand the players wanting to try. But also trust them to put it behind them when the time comes. That’s the gig.

Nor is any RB taking you to a Super Bowl in 2024.
I posted my comment while taking a solitary shit, until snoop barged in

Eagles Pro Bowlers

RB SaQuon Barkley
RT: Lane Johnson
G: Landon Dickerson
C: Cam Jurgens
DT: Jalen Carter
LB: Zack Baun

First year as a starter & Jurgens is a Pro Bowler

Let's GOOOOOOOOOOO

Mailata probably was overlooked for "well, we can't send their whole o-line to the Pro Bowl, can we?" reasons. Plus, not like Sewell and Wirfs are some undeserving scrubs.

A.J. missed 3 games and probably suffered a bit from the, at times, wonky passing attack. As a result he "only" put up ~1000 yards instead of his usual ~1500.

Can't really fault the voters in either case IMO.

Congrats to the 6 Birds that did make it though! :thumbu:

The NFL also announced 12 Eagles alternates:

  • WR A.J. Brown (1st alternate)
  • OT Jordan Mailata (1st alternate)
  • CB Quinyon Mitchell (1st alternate)
  • EDGE Josh Sweat (1st alternate)
  • QB Jalen Hurts (2nd alternate)
  • CB Darius Slay (3rd alternate)
  • LS Rick Lovato (3rd alternate)
  • PR Cooper DeJean (4th alternate)
  • P Braden Mann (4th alternate)
  • K Jake Elliott (5th alternate)
  • DE Brandon Graham (5th alternate)
  • ST Kelee Ringo (5th alternate)

5th alternate - yeah!

Jesus. @JojoTheWhale

I actually don’t blame people for still believing in Richardson’s physical talent but he’s in between a rock & a hard place. He needs reps but his play standard is nowhere near to potentially winning games right now which other people’s livelihoods depends on.

Ah man. Yeah, this is the rough part. We’ll never know who just doesn’t buy in. And the stories of the few guys that don’t get used to prop up mediocre players who do. It’s a miserable waste all around.

How do we feel now that we know that Saquon and the rest of the team wanted to go for it and told the coach that, and he made the decision not to?

Makes it worse imo. Now you made the dude disgruntled that you're going to rely on to take you to a Superbowl.
There were a couple of games earlier in the season where Barkley could have gone back out for another series. He left the first Giants game early too where he could have had the single game rushing record. 101 yards is no small task. Plus, could very well see NYG playing 8/9 in the box with QB3 under C,

If he was half the yards away, at around 50, probably would get the first half to try to get it. Or if Philly had a bye in round 1, they'd play the starters. But, that's not the case.

I decided to pop the PHLY episode where Fran did his tape review on because I wanted to hear what he thought of McKee's limited snaps.

What I got instead was one of the funniest things I've ever heard. Berman said that he thinks one of the reasons the team is Pickett > McKee is that the latter has never played in a high leverage football game like, and I quote, "A Bowl game." I almost died.

So uh. The Colts are a mess. Is there anyone who wouldn't jump at the chance to kick Moore to the curb to facilitate a reunion?
Irsay kind of is the mess. Are they really gonna fire Steichen? I think he'd get another opportunity as a HC before he has to go OC again. But yes, would reunite.
