If it's the flu, I would suspect he's well enough to practice tomorrow (if they do practice), and then hopefully he's just sitting in meetings and getting his strength up to where it needs to be to come out as strong as possible on Sunday.

Absolutely f***ing sucks that it had to be him this happened to in the days leading up to Sunday though.

I put a wager on him winning MVP so this is probably on me.

There was exactly one piece that I read that actually talked to people on the committee. He had zero chance to get in this year. The consensus was that he may eventually get in, but there’s a multiyear logjam ahead of him before they’re even willing to consider it.

The other takeaway is that Holt and Wayne are keeping each other out because they keep splitting the votes on who should get in first.

It'll happen - but it is a fun reminder that Eli despite his 2 SB wins wasn't exactly a titan of the game. So I dig that.



There is that logjam you speak of - so who knows who gets in from this class, but I'll be conservative and pick 2:

Fitz and Brees gotta be in 1st try, right?

I'd say Witten as well, but I can see them pushing a TE off to the next round.
