Oh, then there's no issue here for the Birds in the short term if they want Myles. Wonderful.

Certainly won't be an easy one, but I have lots of faith in Howard - so hey we'll see!

We have a need for him and he wants a Lombardi, so :🤷:

Yeah, I doubt they end up winning the bidding, but there a 100% chance they're involved. It's a position he wants to pay and the guy is a universally recognized gamechanger. They're in on some level.

I don't want to, but he's at that magic 30 number where you start eyeing up money vs. contribution and they don't utilize him probably as much as they should considering what he's paid. Plus he gets injured a bit...ehhh.

I could absolutely see him as a casualty, even if I myself don't want him to be.

Sounds like a complete nightmare.

I can't see it happening next year as I don't think Calcaterra is a #1 TE and bringing in a #1 FA would be cost-prohibitive. I think the players you already mentioned should be enough. I am not going to do the salary cap math, but it looks close enough.

1st & 10: incomplete pass
2nd & 10: -2 yard rush attempt
3rd & 12: 7 yard gain on a checkdown by Bradford

All done in 40 seconds.

All these years later I'm still a little pissy about this madness, haha.
I think if anyone on that Eagles defense had murdered Chip Kelly they could have pled self-defense.

If there is an Australian game, I would imagine it's either bookended by a Bye or they go Thurs --> Australia --> Sun night or Monday.

Chip found his groove again at UCLA. He’s gotten to a varied and complex run game. The wacky twists are back. 2025 Chip and Stoutland would make angels sing on the ground.

Since it came up, no he doesn't go at Mach 1 anymore. That advantage disappeared due to rule changes and defensive adaptations.
I would have to think that game is followed by their bye.

If Sweat and Graham are gone (probably are), they will badly need some size on the Edge. Mid round not small guy seems like a solid possibility.

P.S.

@JojoTheWhale you mentioned awhile back the MOF being an issue for us on defense. Curious how you think Vic might try to address that?

I'm not smart enough to guess what two absolute masters like Vic and Andy are going to have in their pockets as counterpunches.

In general, just remember that Fangio's whole philosophy is that it's easier to come forward than it is to have to play while retreating. So there are going to be short passes open in basically every game. Part of the philosophy is that you have to tackle well to limit those gains. Obviously that's one thing that has improved immensely from last year.

And off of that, what worries you more, their O vs our D, or vice versa?

Yes.

I guess if you made me pick, it would be KC Defense vs Eagles Offense because that side of the ball has a lower floor to me. Spags could just wreck the whole game. He's so good at breaking protection rules. Saquon has been a monster blocker recently. That's going to need to stay true.

Appreciate the response. And I would probably agree, because Hurts/Moore are clearly the weakest duo of that group. I have no idea what to expect in this one. I feel like this year's team is better overall than our last meeting, but that was also Hurts' best year. Gonna be a butt clencher. Hopefully Barkley goes ham.
