Other Sports: Philadelphia Eagles (NFL): THIS IS BRAZIL (Start Of 2024 Regular Season)

Outside of that sack before the Elliott missed FG, Hurts has looked good which is something not said often after first halves this year

The NFC was always the Eagles’ unless they shoot themselves in the foot or face.

That call on the late hit was weak
I will say this until I'm blue in the face

Some of those unnecessary roughness calls are brutal. Some of those bang bang ones? The problem isn't the rules or the refs, it's the fact that the refs have the option to call it in the first place.

Why on earth would you follow through on that hit? Guy has given up, has a foot out of bounds, there's no chance of a turnover even if you cause a fumble...just give him a hug bro. All you need to do is force him out of bounds. No need to even hit him at all. That player is the root cause of the problem. Stupid stupid play. Don't even give the refs a chance

It seems universally accepted as the right call, so i guess i'm wrong per the letter of the law but seemed bang bang enough to be let go, it did seem worse at full speed

I don’t think you’re going to get away with throwing a big stick there. If it was a shove it might have been close enough for them to let go.

I think the deciding factor for the ref was that he was obviously going out and that information was readily available to Sainristil when he elected to crank one on a guy over the white

Carter just going for eye pokes out here

Most physical play I’ve ever seen out of Ertz.

He said he's having fun and enjoying the sport for the first time in a long time so I guess he's efforting fully now

Every time I hear a variant of that quote from a player I wonder if the money is really worth the long term health impacts of this sport if you're also miserable while doing it.
