They just denied this man an interview with another team.

Please join me in manifesting Deion Sanders.

When I first heard that they accidentally fired McCarthy, Sanders was my first thought. The only reason he's in his current job is to coach his son, and now that's finished. Sanders will be looking for a new shiny object and Jerry Jones is super senile.

Can you imagine if they hired him and then drafted his son? The NFL would love that.

Yep, true. But that can always be fixed by a great roll of the Stafford dice. Now part of what killed Minnesota will be helped by how much better the Eagles’ Corners are in Man. But it’s still helped and not solved because Stafford has those truly top tier games still in him at times.

I’m concerned with how much more creative the Rams’ defense has gotten as the year has developed. They had some nasty sim pressures last night. I do not trust these to be sorted out at all.
Anything can of course happen.

I actually feel great against both LAR and DET...we match-up well and Det D is just so hurt.

Screwed vs the AFC though.

Vic is saying we'll get a nice dose of Trotter, Jr on Sunday. Splitting reps with Burks.

I'm not sure this is any better

I apologize in advance for doing this to you:

me said:
Something to watch with Trotter because it's weird -- when he misses tackles (and he will), notice how many times it's because he's out of control running at top speed and can't slow himself down quickly enough. He does this with blockers too. No hands. Just throws his body at everything.

Jalon Walker to the Panthers at 8, Alfred Collins Round 2
LBIII to the Cowboys at 12, Henderson Round 2
James Pearce Jr to the Bucs at 19, Carson Schwesinger Round 2
JT Tuimoloau to the Eagles at 30 BLECH, Grey Zabel Round 2

That should cover the homies

Edit: Warren in the 1st to the Colts. And for Jojo, Kaleb Johnson to the Vikings.

I had my post about how I’d rather have Mike Green mentally forming before I even clicked the link. You win this round, Brugler.

Yep, that's total Screens. If you pull out RB Screens, the last time I checked there wasn't a single team in the whole league still running 2 or more per game. The Bucs were first at 1.8ish.

McLame has been one of the worst - if not THE worst - writers in this town. Mr. "Invent a Scenario" who seems to always plaster a "remains to be seen" bet-hedger to absolve him from any accountability or to take a full-throated stand. He's a sensationalist douchebag.

Honest question because I don't watch KC games- do they run screens at an above NFL rate? Just curious since Andy is at the helm
No clue.

I should have been specific. I was talking about the HB screens in the glory years that would pick up chunks at a time. I would guess the more athletic defensive linemen kinda nullify the effectiveness these days. Maybe it's less deceptive out of shotgun too. Everyone used to run everything under center in the late 90s/early 2000s. That's just a theory though.

Also no clue about the rate, but they do run them well. Mahomes drops back...seems like any other passing play....throws a little bubble screen....and suddenly the guy who caught it is running full steam behind a wall of linemen who are somehow 5yds ahead of him.

With how often the Eagles get called for ineligible man downfield, I have no idea how KC does it. But I wish we could.

I think screens are kind of Andy’s thing. I seem to remember the Eagles being a very good screen team when he was the coach.

All of that plus other stuff, yep. They take a ton of practice time to get right. They only function if you can sell them and basically everything has to go right in order for it to be successful. As the number of padded practices has gone down, so has Screen usage because you can’t get the repetition to get good at them.

And then, yeah it’s defensive athleticism plus how good they’ve gotten at recognizing plays. You can’t just have 2 of them. You need variety, which takes even more practice time. Some coaches don’t like sending free rushers at their QB on a traditional HB Screen because they’ve gotten so much better at batting or tipping balls.

For the most part, they’re just called as blitz beaters now. If you can hit a blitz, you only need one or two key blocks. Big difference.
