Hell
Remember how you feel about the Jags and Giants today when that highly regarded prospect bombs out with them. Some guys just don't have a prayer of succeeding based on the randomness of the draft.
You could say the exact opposite is also true were guys end up exactly where they need to end up... I'm looking at you Bo Nix.

Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think Daboll is actually that bad of a coach. I just don’t really know why you bring him back for another year though? You’re not flipping that roster this offseason.

The GM should be gone.
Pretty much. They're basically locking him in through another rebuild, in which he needs to have at least some personnel say, or they're basically just punting the results until they hire another coach, and they don't feel like paying out any guaranteed money.

The best teams will always have the most cohesive alignment between coaching philosophy and personnel choices, unless you're the Ravens and whoever you pick immediately makes an impact to your scheme on day one.

I really think there's only a handful of elite coaches or really bad ones. The rest are just kind of in the middle playing the cards that they are dealt.

Yep. He's aggressively fine. All of us in general just aren't very good at cause and effect. Ken Dorsey got shitcanned in Buffalo because Allen had a bad streak of Turnover luck. He's not having it this year and Brady may get a HC gig out of it. 🤷

I think Daboll is fine honestly. Probably the biggest indictment I have on him is that he had to have signed off on the GM extending Daniel Jones to that insane extension.

Otherwise, sure - he's fine. Their problems are bigger than coaching.

Bengals fired DC and 3 position coaches.

DC went from hot possible head coach hire to fired in short order

If they didn’t finally pick up Fangio as a long term answer, I would be begging for Anarumo in Philadelphia. The front office failed him.

Ok, he’d be my second choice behind your DB Coach in Jim Leonhard, who I have been begging the Eagles to hire as DC since 2018. But that’s still damn good.

Uhhhh. QB and offensive playcaller are kinda major.

I didn't want to edit my comment (because I'd look like a puss) but I was going to add that their QB is better, but I think Love's had an underwhelming season & his elbow make me think Hurts IF he returns fine, gives us maybe the same level of play there. But that's just my convoluted opinion.

I was speaking more to the talent on the field rather than coaching, but sure I agree with their play calling.

In sum: I have a lot of faith that our available talent and depth will enough to justifiably make us the favorite this game.

The injury is a completely fair point. I did some reading and Love said that he could have come back in if necessary, but he also said he lost feeling in the arm. If that nerve doesn't loosen, who the heck knows what they'll get.

Flame away if you so choose, but, I feel Love is overrated. He had a nice 2023, but, overall, he's "meh" to me. I'll take a healthy Hurts over a healthy Love (and you know I ain't no Jalen Hurts stan).
